After man was created the gods asked what will this creatures eat? then Quetzalcatl saw an ant carrying a piece of corn on top of Tonacatepetl Mountain and he asked her where did you bring this? and the ant refused to reveal the secret and after intense questioning she told him where she got it and lead him to the source .
Quetzalcoatl then transformed into a black ant and together carry the corn transporting it to Tamoanchan ( place of the gods) then the lord of heaven put the corn in their mouths to then place the masa in the mouths of man
